Macau

Over Christmas, my family and I took a one day trip to Macau. We spent the day exploring old town, and rode the Ferris Wheel at the Studio City hotel. We finished the night with the Dancing Water Show (similar to Cirque Du Soleil).

Coming from Vegas, Macau felt cleaner, more spacious and had less crazy people roaming the streets. I think most people that go to Macau are strictly there for gambling or luxury shopping so the streets and the hotels were pretty empty. If you're planning a trip there, I definitely recommend visiting old town of Taipa, and don't forget to try their famous egg tarts and pork buns!

Poolside Chillin

Took a quick trip to Palm Springs for Easter and stayed at the Avalon Hotel. It was so relaxing getting away from the concrete jungle, hang by the pool, and think about nothing but food and sun. We also got massages, where the masseuse kneaded all my knots out. I think I'm still sore from that! It was 87 degrees but still slightly chilly in the shade. I rocked this jumpsuit all day, super easy to slip on and off. If you ever get to visit Avalon, definitely try Chi Chi at the Avalon, their poolside restaurant. For lunch, we had the pork belly hash and fish tacos. For breakfast we had the brioche french toast and veggie frittata. All amazing!

Broad

We finally went to The Broad Museum. It's been 7 months since it opened and the lines have been ridiculous. I reserved free tickets online in December for a March visit. Currently all tickets are sold out till May. Is it worth the hype and the wait? I'm going to say... I guess so. Having studied Art History in high school, it was pretty cool being able to recognize many of the artists including Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Barbara Kruger and more. I think most millennials today should be able to recognize many of the artists. Seeing it in person is kind of cool! But my favorite pieces were probably Jeff Koons with the giant balloon sculptures, and the charcoal drawing of the Ferguson protest. So if you decide to wait 3 hours for the Infinity Room, I definitely recommend going to Otium for lunch, and grab a coffee by the grassy area outside.
