Patio Dinner Party

I love party planning! I find a lot of party ideas and cute set ups on pinterest. I have a whole board solely dedicated to party ideas - from balloons, to drinks, to table setting and much more. Throughout high school and college, I loved hosting events. I helped throw fashion shows, dance performances, charity art shows, house parties, secret santa potlucks... and the list goes on. Many times it got really stressful but in the end, it's always great seeing everyone enjoying themselves even though I'm frantically running around in the back!
When Modcloth asked me to feature this cute black dress, I immediately thought of a patio dinner party! It's super cute for a night time event, matching it with gold jewelry, a minimalistic big face watch, a mint satchel and statement heels to give the outfit a pop of color!

Be sure to check out their other amazing dresses and shoes!
I've already got 3 pairs waiting in my shopping cart ready for checkout :)

Kaleidoscope

I'm not usually someone who takes hours to get ready. I don't put make up on everyday and usually let my hair air dry (simply because I am too lazy to do both!). But some days are rough... I stare at my closet and say "I don't have anything to wear!".. and I know some of you know exactly what i mean :)

I like to stick to a few pieces of jewelry, and mix basic tops with colorful and printed items. These Kaleidoscope shorts is one of my favorite finds from TopShop! They're bright and funky enough to wear with minimal accessories. I don't see it on their online store anymore but they carry many other fun printed shorts. I also found these circle sunnies in a thrift store! Yay to good finds!

Baby Style

It's funny - once you have kids, you realize that you don't shop for yourself anymore and most of your time (and money!) is spent buying stuff for your kiddos. I had a tough time finding cute kids stuff in Hong Kong, so I ended up shopping for my babies at places where I shop myself - H&M, Zara, and Gap have cute and reasonably priced pieces for kids, and sometimes I'll buy stuff online from the US as well. It's fun putting together little outfits once in a while and luckily Maddie is still a willing participant in my styling "experiments"!
