How to dress for fall...

I would like to welcome FALL, my favorite season.  The Mid-Autumn Festival in Hong Kong is what marks the beginning of autumn for me.  Aside from enjoying the full moon while eating moon cakes and other moon cake-shaped desserts, I look forward to the weather finally cooling down.  The best part about weather change is fashion change, and fall clothing is definitely my favorite. It's comfortable, cozy and stylish! I no longer have to freeze when I go indoors and over heat when I walk outside.  Hong Kong'ers can all finally wear one outfit and stick with that look throughout the day :) I think every HK female knows what's I'm talking about.  Let's see what's trending on pinterest this autumn season.

Cookie Science

As a "baking enthusiast" (or, I should say, "once a baking enthusiast"… before the kids came along!), I found this article quite interesting, especially the TED talk on cookie science. Tempted to try it out next time I find a moment to bake - my favorite type of chocolate chip cookie is probably a chewy, tanned version, paired with a tall glass of cold milk! What's your perfect cookie?

Tee

I've been obsessed with these Urban tees! They're great fit and very comfortable. They fit loosely and run a little bit big. I'm wearing an XS in this and usually wear an S. And these shoes? They're a collaboration between Superga and Man Repeller. The satin material makes the green really pop out. You just can't wear it out on rainy days! Love love love! Although Supergas' are a little heavy, I personally like the thickness of the sole - I can walk in these for days!

Flower Market

Woke up super early to hit the downtown flower market with my friend last Saturday. It was a struggle to get up at 7am after a long time, and be bombarded by vibrant colors and smells with no breakfast in my tummy. But I must say, it was a great way to start the day! I felt super productive afterwards, getting an early start to my day.

Just a few tips if you are planning to go - parking is kind of difficult. There are several open parking lots around the block but they're not the best walk over. We were able to snag a spot on the street one block away. I would suggest going with a friend... If it's your first time around that area, it can be a little bit intimidating. Its $1 admission and flowers are crazy cheap! We got there around 8 and there were still a lot of options to choose from. When we were leaving, they were setting up a farmer's market right outside with food and drinks, but we were in a hurry to leave before our meter was up!
