Ever since Le Pain Quotidian opened right next to work, my colleagues and I have been obsessing over the Chia Seed Pudding, but it costs $7USD for a tiny bowl. It's like buying pressed juice or acai bowls - it costs way less to make it yourself! Le Pain conveniently put their recipe online, so here it is even more conveniently for you just a scroll away. I also added a raspberry compote recipe to top it off. Enjoy! :)
WHAT YOU NEED:
5 tbsp Chia Seeds
1¾ CUPS (14FL OZ/400ML) canned coconut milk
3 cups fresh raspberries
2/3 cup - Domino® Organic Blue Agave Nectar Syrup
HOW TO MAKE IT:
In a bowl, mix the chia seeds with the coconut milk for 2 minutes using a wooden spoon. Pour the mixture into 4 small jars or ramekins (about 4 inches in diameter). Refrigerate for 3 hours or until completely set.
Pour the blue agave syrup into a small saucepan on low heat. Pour in the raspberries and crush using a wooden spoon or potato masher. Increase heat to medium, until mixture begins to boil and foam, approximately 5-7 minutes. Reduce heat and simmer for another 10 minutes. Strain mixture using a mesh strainer, working with the back of a spoon to remove as much liquid as possible. Keep the compote in the mesh, and discard the liquid.

Is it me or did this year go by in a snap? It's already over half a year, and we were only just writing down our new year resolutions. I feel like I've been running a marathon, and realized how much I need to schedule in a block of nothing. Meaning stay home, read, recharge, watch TV, eat healthy and sleep for 10 hours. Most of the time, we're so concentrated on ourselves, that we forget to look around, people watch, meet new friends, or read the news. I thank Hey Yeh and you guys for keeping me on track. It's really nice to have a platform to share my thoughts, my style and my work - and to recap at the end of the year and reflect on what I've been doing with my life.
On that note, I did this photo shoot with Taya a few months ago. We had a full crew of people from makeup artist, to hair stylist, photographer assistant, and fashion stylist. We pulled off 4 looks in 4 hours with full hair, makeup and wardrobe changes each time. This series is my favorite - featuring Taya Rogers (model) wearing this whimsical and eccentric jacket from OTT.
More series to come!

Tom and I love to cook but buying herbs in this city is just absurdly pricey. That’s why we’ve been trying our hand at growing our own basil, rosemary, thyme and ginger… let’s just say, some are going better than others. What I like the most about it is how much the green adds life and brightness to our home. Since then, I haven’t been able to stop filling the apartment with any sort of botany I can get my hands on.
When I go to work, I really dislike wearing anything tight and uncomfortable that I have to sit in for 8 hours. That's why I was instantly drawn to these giant sleeves and square cut.
