Took a day trip down to San Diego with Vibrvncy to do a few mini photoshoots with some friends, which you can see here! Afterwards, we went searching for the best carne asada fries. We ended up driving more inland to supposedly the best place to get them... Vallarta. Anyone from San Diego that can second this? It was.. bomb. The portion was so giant, I could only finish 1/3 of it but it was worth every bite. :)
OC
Went down to the Tustin Union Market over the weekend to check out Feng's artwork that was hung on the wall outside of Portola coffee shop. Many of the districts in the OC have a little market like this that I love venturing down to - Anaheim Packing House, The OC Mix, The Lab, and probably a few more I still haven't discovered. All have amazing food, coffee shops, boutique stores and the best ice cream vendors.
It was kind of a bad idea driving south on such a hot day. At one point, my car said it was 101F outside. Luckily we also had the Santa Ana winds, which made is feel 90F. hah.. Yea.. not that much better.
Looking In, Looking Round
There’s a “Before and After” post by Amber Interiors that I absolutely love and always feel inspired by. In this particular home, she uses a giant round mirror by the doorway and I feel like I’ve been seeing round mirrors everywhere since! I love that this tiny detail can really make the space look more unique, no matter your personal style.
Flared Out
The continuation of Char's photo shoot. In this look, we focused on an all black sexiness with these awesome flared chiffon pants, bralette, and her funky layered jackets on top. We borrowed the camo from her boyfriend of course. A combination of my favorite styles - a little baggy on top (boyfriend style), and a little feminine touch underneath.

Downtown
One of the biggest reasons why we moved to downtown was because of the convenience of walking and shooting. Like finding this wall two blocks down, and grabbing a Dunkin' Donuts on the way home from CVS and Whole Foods. Thanks to Whole Foods opening in the city center, we have an extra healthy meal option for the days we're feeling lazy & want to grab something quick (which is.. always).
The only downside of living in downtown is that not every street is safe and clean. My parking garage is across the street, and almost everyday I walk home to men catcalling, the homeless laying on the sidewalk, and sometimes even people throwing beer bottles and yelling gibberish.
We're in the midst of deciding whether to move or not, but we can't seem to find a better location that is close to all the amenities without driving. Anyway, bad segue here but this is my "downtown let's go grab a beer" outfit - comfy night out in this plaid fuzzy cardigan.
