Every morning I check the weather app and plan out my outfit according to how the weather's going to change throughout the day. Recently it's been in the 90s, then the 60s, then sunny, and now it's storming... I'm having a hard time dressing for the right weather! Yesterday, it said it was going to storm, but it was blue skies, so I celebrated with this spring/summer suede and leather outfit featuring this super soft tank from MinkPink.
I don't wear tights much because sometimes they're too tight in the waist and I like to eat with loose clothing so I can scarf down a feast without any restrictions. But I couldn't resist in taking up Trendy Legs collaboration proposal to style my own outfit with a funky pair of tights. Here's me channeling my inner 80s sass!
Got to collaborate with Renee and Rauf to bring you this series. What I love about these photos is that they make you think... How are they doing that? You stare at one part of the image for a long time thinking... whose foot is that? It was pretty cool seeing it all unfold and how easy it came to them to try these different poses, but also how hard it was to balance and support each other. Persian and Turkish rugs have been making a huge comeback as of late. I love the way that these ornate and colorful rugs add so much character and hominess to simple and clean designs. In its past, antique rugs seemed to have been constrained as living room décor but why stop there when you can add a splash of color in your bathroom and kitchen?
My mother is a bit of an interior design goddess so I've always grown up around beautiful things. She has a gorgeous, deep red rug in our living room that I would lie on as a kid. Thank goodness she tucked it away in storage rather than throwing it out when she moved into a more modern and minimalist style. You won't event believe how quickly I got my hands on it once I got my own home!

There's a lot of talk on the interwebs about how to spell the abbreviated version of casual. Is it "Cazj", "Cas'", "Cazh"...? It boggles my mind every time. I even looked it up on google and checked out 3 websites to see what people think just so I could use "Keepin it Cazj" for my title of this post! Buzzfeed did a poll and had their audience vote for which way was the best, and "Cas'" won. All of this debate, reading and wasted time just to tell you that I'm wearing this plaid dress from Madewell to keep it casual on the weekends. yay.
