mimi's secret

After knowing my friend mimi for 4 years, i only just discovered her secret talent for baking!

red velvet champagne cupcakes
torched vanilla meringue frosting
 chocolate pearls on top
looks scrumptious

And of course, her jaw-dropping heels

hand carved wooden heels

breakfast

Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
But sometimes you just don't have time to make a big meal.

Toast a gluten & wheat free waffle,
cut up a banana,
put some peanut butter on the waffle
and pour a little bit of maple syrup.

Banana fills you up for 3 hours,
while other fruits only fill you up for 1 hour.
So if you know you won't be able to eat for another few hours,
try a banana!

shift dance crew

Guest choreographer Phi Tran's hip hop workshop!

The Shift Dance Crew is having their 2nd hip-hop workshop this Saturday, and will also be hosting auditions the following Saturday.

I love performing, there is no doubt about it, but there's something about hosting workshops that really make me excited about dance. Seeing new faces join the dance community, scouting new talent on campus, and even the joy of teaching a group of students. I'm glad that there are still students out there who are willing to come out to learn dance on a Friday night.

In the Kitchen

As promised, I am going to post the Asian Marinade Sauce that I use for my salads.

Asian Marinade Recipe
Serves 1

Ingredients
1 Tbsp Honey
1 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1/2 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
1/2 Tbsp Sesame Oil
1/2 Tbsp Diced Fresh Basil
A pinch of Dried Oregano
Salt
Pepper
2 Tbsp Water

How to make
Place a small sauce pan on low heat, pour in the soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil.

Stir continuously, then add the honey.

Continue to stir and add the basil and oregano.

Pour the water in to dilute the marinade.

Put as much salt and pepper you desire.

Pour on dish/salad/rice.
