Leather Clutch DIY Workshop

Had a wonderful time at the West Elm workshop hosted by Toni! We learned how to handle, stain, weave and stencil on leather and made ourselves an awesome leather clutch! I'm totally obsessed and now I just want to make more bags! If you've always wondered how they make leather goods, this is a great start to satisfy your curiosity! You can follow Toni and see when her next upcoming workshops are!

Geometray DIY

Over the weekend, my friend and I went to the West Elm DIY Workshop held at the Costa Mesa store. We made Geometrays! This DIY is from Erica of P.S. I Made This.... She has a lot of cool DIYs to make your home, a little more homey! We were given one hour to decorate our West Elm trays with chalkboard paint and gold tape. It took me so long to figure what process I wanted to take and what design to make that I didn't have time to finish it there. If you're interested, you can check out West Elm's blog and find the next workshop they'll be hosting near you!
Some of us were given cute gold scissors and some of us were given a swiss army knife. I was glad I got a swiss army knife since the airport security took my last one. :(
Not only did they serve Starbucks coffee, but they also provided super cute blue printed napkins!
The half finished product.
This is my first DIY workshop and definitely not my last. It was all and all a super fun experience. I felt like I was in middle school art class again. I usually find fun DIYs to do at home, and sometimes dragging my boyfriend into doing it with me... but it was a great experience doing it with new friends and be able to take something home and use it!
