artjamming

The last time I picked up a paintbrush was in high school during my AP art class 4 years ago.
Then when I got to college, I just never made time to take a class. I was never good at it anyway, so I gave up on painting and drawing and continued my passion for photography.

Kelly and I are trying to make use of our time in Hong Kong and take advantage of the fun activities you can do here. So yesterday, we went to unwind at an art jamming studio. ArtJaMaLaMa is doing a Monday promotion for only $200HKD per person for three hours! They give you an apron, canvas and an abundant full of paint of every color. We were so concentrated on painting that the three hour session went by within seconds.

yay!! Complete!!
it actually looks cooler in this quadtych..
packed and ready to bring home!

the things i'll miss the most

As I count down the days that I depart from HK, it scares me to think that this is it... no more school...
It feels weird thinking about leaving home again but this time, not to a familiar place. I'm going to a completely new city - new friends, new apt, and new job. I'm very excited for new adventures, opportunities and obstacles but at the same time, nervous that I'm going to miss the one thing that keeps me sane, safe and happy.. my family.

It has been one of the most relaxing and uplifting summers I've had so far. Although I was going through a lot these past few weeks, being with family always makes me forget my worries. Hanging out with my new niece, girls night out, big family dinners, home cooked food, hiking, and even working at my mom's office are the things that I'm really going to miss in 20 days. 20 DAYS?!?! Time flies wayyy too fast.

HK

I have been dying to go on a hike with my dad but was unsure if I was fit enough to keep up with him! Today, we finally went on a test run at Lion Rock Mountain. The weather was perfect, slight overcast with a bit of breeze.

I want to take in all the beauties of Hong Kong before I leave again. Not only enjoying the concrete jungle and the hustle bustle lifestyle, but also escaping the city limits and breathing in the fresh air of the countryside.

apt therapy

I've always had a keen interest in interior design, following blogs and pinning ideas that I love. But when it comes to designing my own apt or room, it never comes out the way I want it to. Starring at a plethora of colorful linens, jars, pillows and beds at Ikea makes me forget all the ideas that I wanted to execute.
Just wanted to share some blogs and ideas that I have for my next apt.

I just realized the hint of yellow in almost each picture! I swear that wasn't on purpose, I just love yellow. :)

Let's Get Organized

Waking up every morning at 6 in the morning from jet lag has given me a lot of time to get my life organized. My room is ten times cleaner than when I left it in December. I convinced my mom to leave work early to go Ikea shopping with me yesterday and came home with bags full of goodies.
I'm going to make my room so cozy that I won't want to leave for LA!
 I love mason jars!
Started to write again - jotting random notes down, creative ideas, and memorable moments.
Bought some awesome plant buckets from Ikea and organized my bangles and bracelets.

Dug up some old artwork from high school and put them up!
 Buckets for makeup!

In love with these boxes! Super easy to put together and works perfectly for my scarves and other knick knacks.
Turned an old CD holder into an earring rack!
