Friendsgiving

Can you believe it? Thanksgiving is next week! Danielle, Ashlyn and I decided to host Friendsgiving lunch/dinner (lunner?) last weekend, before we all head our separate ways. We all were in charge of different dishes, but since Feng and I hosted it at our loft, we decided to tackle the Turkey for the first time ever. Yikes. On top of that, I had sprained my ankle the night before, so cooking, cleaning and getting ready was not easy! I must say, we managed to pull it off, and the turkey turned out pretty good, but my girlfriends are way better cooks than I am! They brought some bomb-a** mac and cheese, candied yams, cheesy mashed potato, stuffing, and pumpkin cheesecake. Mm mmm! No one wanted to take leftovers, so we've been eating Thanksgiving breakfast, lunch and dinner for the past 4 days. haha..

Thanks to Urban Outfitters, who provided us with some amazing products to use for our Friendsgiving! It really made our dinner next level with the cocktail kit, the record player and cute outfits. The girls attempted to make cocktails (which failed horribly), and the boys sat around watching sports and listening to Michael Jackson on the record player. Our special guest was Baxter (Danielle's dog) who pretty much stole the show. Thank you to my friends who bared with me while we cooked food, prepped the table and had a photo shoot at the same time. I would say we had a very successful first Friendsgiving in LA!

I spent a wonderful 4 weeks in Hong Kong, mostly working at the Sony office and planning Erin's wedding by night. But I am really happy that I got to see my old childhood friends, explore a few of the new restaurants and art spaces, eat a lot of good Chinese food and best of all catching up with my family. During our sister's speech at Erin's wedding, I said that the Yeh sister's have a very special relationship and I couldn't believe this more! I don't know any three other girls that get along, share similar passions and love each other as much as we do.. :)

Leaving HK is always tough, especially when my family makes it so much fun. Good thing I'll be back in a month for Christmas!

Behind the Photos

I used to be uncomfortable with posting fashion photos because it felt strange seeing myself online. It's kind of like when you listen to a recording of your voice and it sounds so different from what you expected!  But thanks to your support, my photographers, makeup artists and the companies that have featured me, it has encouraged me to continue to be the mannequin that displays the clothes!

On that note! I'd like to share this fun shoot we did awhile ago.. :)

The Orange Beanie

We went to SF for a quick weekend trip before I started working at Sony. We wanted to stay close to my cousins and found this cute and photogenic place to stay! I've been to SF a few times with my family but never got the chance to really explore it the way I want to. But this time, we got to hit all the places we've been wanting to see and hit all the cute hipster coffee shops.

In my last style post, I talked about how I get styling tips from Feng, so I wanted to show you an outfit that I really liked.

You Better Run!

First off, I would like to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to FENG!
His new dance video (that I got to be in) debuted today!
After fighting for hours with YouTube and Warner music to allow the video to be uploaded for creative purposes, I think we have finally won and the video is now live for good. Yay!

If this video made you ready for the weekend, feel free to share it, like it and tweet it!
